Spot the Difference
Five differences hide between these two park scenes.
Click on Image B to find them. One coffee. Can you finish before it empties?
This puzzle is harder than it looks. It is deliberately designed to exploit a real gap in human perception.
The Science Bit
Your brain doesn’t actually see everything in a scene. It builds a quick predicted model and fills the rest from memory — then stops looking. This is called Change Blindness. You can stare directly at a difference and completely miss it, because your brain is busy confirming what it expects, not what is actually there. This game trains you to override that shortcut.
Divide, don’t roam
Split both images into four zones — sky, top-right, left-ground, right-ground. Compare zone by zone. Random scanning is exactly how your brain tricks you.
Watch edges and outlines
Differences hide at boundaries — where an object meets its background. Look for shapes that stop too soon, or outlines that feel slightly incomplete.
Look for what’s absent, not just different
Some differences aren’t changes — something is simply gone. Your brain skips over absence. Train yourself to notice what isn’t there.
Your visual cortex, prefrontal attention network, and working memory all fire together during this task. Five minutes of this is a genuine cognitive workout.
